Be My Eyes is a free app that connects blind and low-vision people with sighted volunteers and company representatives for visual assistance through a live video call.
As a sighted volunteer you can help by installing the Be My Eyes app. A blind or a low-vision user may need help with things like reading instructions or distinguishing colours.

The Bra Gifting Day is held in Southport on 11 August 2020. It is designed to help women and girls who are homeless, survivors of domestic violence, disenfranchised or in need and provides them with underwear and toiletries for basic personal health and hygiene. The Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) is an initiative of the which aims to address loneliness and isolation amongst Home Care and Residential Aged Care recipients.
Many older Australian’s are living longer and in many cases become socially and/or physically isolated because of their geographic location or their family circumstance.
What is Required: Weekly 1hr visits with a recipient to listen and discuss interests, hobbies etc. Provide companionship, friendship and conversation. Find out more.
Personal assistance of the recipient is NOT required or permitted. For example, cleaning, personal care, nursing etc.
We need to band together to care for all Queenslanders during the coronavirus outbreak, especially those most at risk: Queenslanders over 65 and over 50 if they’re of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent.
